Principal Message

About Me: This is my 24^th year as an educator, all of which have been here in Davis County. I have taught multiple grade levels, been an instructional coach and have the privilege of being an instructional leader as a principal. This will be my 6^th year as a principal.

I am the oldest of 10 children and have 31 nieces and nephews. I like watching sports, enjoying time in the outdoors, and reading a good book.

Sunset Elementary is a school full of dedication staff members who love children and want them to succeed. Our teachers work tirelessly to provide quality instruction for our students. Our support staff work hard behind the scenes to keep the school running smoothly.

We believe that all children can learn. We have seen great growth in our school reading data. This last school year our students increased 13% in their accuracy scores, and we exceeded the state goal for growth in reading.

In partnership with each of you, we will continue to make great improvements in our educational goals and students will rise to new levels of success.
