Principal Message

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Sunset Elementary. We are the Home of the Tigers where we focus on being safe, kind, respectful and responsible.  Sunset Elementary is a school filled with students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration striving to achieve what is best for the learning of all students.

This school year, our school theme is RISE UP. Think of a hot air balloon—you need a fire inside to lift the balloon. We want to help your child find their fire within so that they can RISE UP and be successful in all aspects of their educational journey. Once we light the fire and RISE UP, we can then help lift others to do and be their best. How can you help your child RISE UP this school year?

Please review the handbook with your child so that you know the policies and procedures of the school. Feel free to reach out to the school with any questions you may have. In addition to this handbook, you will receive periodic information from the school through phone calls, emails, Instagram or Facebook. Please be sure to follow us on our Social Media accounts.

I encourage you to join the PTA and work in partnership with them to support our students and teachers. The PTA and the school need more of you to RISE UP and volunteer to help with events at the school or just volunteer in your child’s classroom. We LOVE to have you in the building.
