Congratulations to the Smith family, who won today’s drawing! We were so excited to watch our camera-shy student picking out all of the painting kits for his family to enjoy together—way to go!
🐾 Tonight’s post: Let’s talk about the animals around us! Share a picture of an animal you see in nature, your own pet, or leave a comment about an animal you would like to learn more about.
📚 We only have two nights left of reading—Let’s finish strong, Tigers! 🐯

Your posts with the slings were darling. The prize for the daily drawing is a gift card to swig. Winners are: The Dunford and Fawcett families.
As a family, we invite you to look around your home for items that could help animals in our community as part of our Animal Shelter Drive. The items we are collecting are listed in the flyer.
📸 For today’s post, families can share a picture of the items you found to donate, or a picture of your student’s drawing from their booklet.

We are so thankful for the continued posts from our wonderful staff and families! Seeing the adventures you are sharing—both big and small—has been so much fun. From cozy reading moments to exciting outings, each post shows the special ways families spend time together.
The winners of todays drawing are: the Butler, Oyler-O'Brien, Stacey Smith, Flores, Walker, and Russell families. The students were given a blanket donated to us through the Davis School District Foundation.
As we continue reading A Boy Called Bat, we’re excited to meet a new character, Laurence! We love seeing how kind and patient he is with Bat and how he helps take care of the animals. Characters like Laurence remind us how important kindness and understanding can be.
Our social media post today is all about creativity! Bat designs a special sling to carry the baby skunk, and we’d love to see your ideas. Show us your animal sling creation by posting either:
A picture of your sling made in real life, or a drawing of the sling you designed.
We can’t wait to see all the creative ideas our amazing families come up with! Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Your participation makes our reading adventure even more special. If you haven't started reading you can catch up on it this weekend.

The Mobile Food Pantry from the Utah Food Bank is coming to Sunset Elementary this month! This is a wonderful opportunity for families to receive helpful groceries like rice, fruit, bread, cereal, and fresh produce.
Our goal is to support our community and help make sure every family has access to healthy food. If this service could help your family or someone you know, we encourage you to participate. Food will be distributed to students during their recess on March 18th.

The winners today are: The Flores, Jones, and Lougy Families.
Congratulations! You have won a Pizza from Hungry Howie's and 2 swim passes to the Clearfield Aquatic Center.
Are you all feeling the same way Bat is feeling towards the kit ? I think it would be so much fun to take care of the kit. I know I would be falling in love with the kit too!
Tonight we are asking you to plan a family adventure. What does your family like to do together?
Take a picture of your family journal drawing, plans, or a photo of your destination you want to visit. If you have been on a family adventure you could comment where you have been. Let us know if you are going by foot, car, plane, boat, or rocket! Let's inspire each other to get out and see the world and animals around us.
